When I first encountered ServiceNow, I was working as a developer at an insurance agency. Soon after we onboarded ServiceNow, I became frustrated. I quickly realized that it was very difficult to plan and design changes in ServiceNow because the development was so UI-centric. Furthermore, I was frustrated by my inability to analyze and compare my company’s data. With out-of-the-box software like ServiceNow, developers can make back-end changes, or customizations, that clash with future upgrades, resulting in compatibility issues and time-consuming troubleshooting processes.
This was the inspiration behind erm4sn. I developed erm4sn because I wanted to create a tool that would offer both developers and everyday ServiceNow users easy access to their data model information. Over the years, what started as a browsable and exportable Hierarchical Table function for ServiceNow has grown to encompass features ranging from data model comparison across instances all the way to clear, handy visuals that illustrate how healthy your data model is on the whole. Now, lots of teams around the world work with erm4sn day in, day out, to access the information they need, when they need it. So they can save valuable time and instead focus on what really matters.
